Bespoke engagement rings
It is more than likely that an engagement ring will be one of the first seriously valuable purchases that someone makes – it is certain to be the most emotive.
There are no hard and fast rules or any particular etiquette about getting engaged - that is what makes the impromptu gesture so romantic, original and special.
But having decided to propose, how does the engagement ring come into being?
If you are practical and methodical by nature you will wish to have a ring in your pocket ready to whip out as you pose the question.
If you are an impetuous and spur-of-the-moment sort of person, you may well be overcome by your romantic surroundings and the occasion and suddenly find yourself blurting out your proposal spontaneously – in which case, you will both be coming to see us and having the fun and excitement of choosing an engagement ring together.
If you do want to be prepared with a ring in your pocket, there is more than a chance that during the course of your relationship, subtle or not so subtle hints may have been dropped as to the direction in which you should be going, perhaps whilst you were both admiring a friend’s engagement ring.

In whichever scenario, in the comfort and privacy of our surroundings, we can take all the time in the world to show you rings that we have made and which are in our current stock, in order for you to get a feel of style, size, colour and price. If the perfect ring jumps out at you from our collection, then that would be serendipity!
There again, if you like the style of a ring but would like it larger, smaller, and with different coloured stones, then we can fulfil your requirements easily.
Alternatively, if you would like something unique designed especially for you then you will have hit on one of our specialities!
Having established your choice of colour and basic style, we will produce a selection of drawings to show you. When you have chosen the style, we will present you with a selection of gemstones set in wax. Once you have made your choice, we shall work out the price and if it meets with your approval, we should have your ring ready in approximately four weeks.
The procedure of creating something so totally personal, meaningful and unique is one of Cherry’s and my favourite aspects of our business.
